Don't Touch Nefertiti

Don't touch Nefertiti 2015

Mummy unwrapping! Murder! Mystery! And a lot of sand....

This year we take you away from our freezing Danish winter to the hot sands of Egypt. A group of eccentric Egyptology fanatics arrive in Cairo to search for the lost tomb of the most beautiful pharaoh of Ancient Egypt - the legendary Queen Nefertiti. But there is a skin-crawling curse on anyone who touches the 2,000 year old mummy! What will happen when these angst-ridden amateur archeologists break the seal and release the wrath of the pharaohs? Prepare for horror, murder, mayhem and madness! For monstrous mummies with huge mammaries, slithering snakes in de palms and psychopathic centipedes in denial (the Nile). Could this be the craziest Crazy Christmas Show EVER ?

Join Vivienne McKee for a Crazy Christmas Cabaret that will, as ever, dispel your winter blues and have you rocking with laughter at the antics of the much-loved CCC comedy team as they are let loose in the nooks and crannies with the crooks , mummies and grannies of Ancient Egypt.

This highly popular Monty-Python-style show runs from November to January 2016 in Tivoli’s splendid Glassalen Theatre and later in Musikhuset in Aarhus. “CCC - the crazy way to enjoy Christmas!“

Vivienne McKee - DIRECTOR

Vivienne is the founder of the English Theatre of Copenhagen, the London Toast Theatre, and she writes and directs the Crazy Christmas Show every year. Since making Copenhagen her home over 30 years ago, she has appeared in many danish TV and theatre shows and also voice-overs for commercials, including the voice of Diana in the internationally renowned computer game “Hitman”. In addition to all this, she regularly performs her “Stand Up Comedy” show for international companies and last year presented her one-woman show, “Killing the Danes ” in a London Off West End Theatre. Vivienne loves a challenge, so this year she has dared to ignore all evil curses, crocodiles and monster mummies and to take you on a terrifying trip up the Nile to touch Nefertiti.

Kirsten Brink

farao.jpgKirsten Brink - SET & COSTUME DESIGNER

This is Kirsten’s 28th CCC show - a record in theatre history for a director/designer team. Her inventive CCC costumes and sets are now being exhibited at Teatermuseet at Hofteatret. Kirsten graduated from Kolding Kunsthåndværkerskole in 1982 as a set and costume designer and began working with Vivienne in 1988. She has designed for many other theatre companies including “Javel Hr Minister” and “Hvem støver af” at Folketeatret, “Larm i Kulissen” at Vendsyssel Teater and “Hjørring Revy”. The next Kirsten Brink set designs can be seen all over the country from January when Comedieteatret takes “Rent mel i posen” on tour, and from the end of February at Teatret ved Sorte Hest where Vivienne and Kirsten once again will join forces this time with the next LTT production “Shakespeare’s Ghost”.

Peter Friis

farao2.jpgPeter Friis - CHOREOGRAPHER

Peter claimed last year that it was his 7th time choreographing the Crazy Christmas Cabaret, but it is in fact this year. Once again he has made magic with hot dance numbers in desert sand and amongst mummies. He is a most wanted artist and works constantly all over the country, when he is not updating his Facebook videos “Free-your-Feet” where you can learn to shake your booty!

CAST

David Bateson

David Bateson

David is a slave of Queen Vivienne Neffertiti and after spending 3,000 years buried with her in a tomb in the Valley of the Kings, he decided that they needed to resurrect themselves as they were both in despe-rate need of a bath! This year David slips into his favourite German, Gunther Von Hinten. However, his greatest challenge this time round is playing sister to Andrew Jeffers gorgeous Lady Carnavon. He’s the pretty one… David can also be heard as an English speaking voice-over artiste on Danish TV commercials and company presentations from Somersby Cider to Novo Nordisk. Internationally, he voices Lego City spots worldwide, NASA’s website and most recognizably, as the voice and face of Agent 47 in IO Interactive’s internationally acclaimed computer game franchise, “Hitman”. In 2014 he was awarded Best Male Voice in the “Voice Arts Awards” in New York.

Tom Højlund Olsen

Tom likes to play for grand ladies, so when he isn’t working for Dame Vivienne, he plays for Queen Margrethe in the Royal Guard. He trained as a classical percussionist and therefore finds it oddly thrilling, that he should finger 4 strings on a bass guitar in the Crazy Christmas Cabaret band.
